Anne Herring
Each year, Rockbridge Highlands Realtors has the opportunity to publicly recognize and thank a community member who has made a real difference in our area and for our association.
As a community member, this year’s recipient gives back in a million different ways. She is a member of several key organizations that help make our community special, including Lexington Rockbridge Chamber of Commerce, Rockbridge Economic Development Authority, Friends of Natural Bridge State Park, Natural Bridge Ruritan Club, Habitat for Humanity…. I could go on.
In 2025, she was responsible for helping create our area’s first housing symposium, bringing together governments, nonprofit leaders, builders, contractors, lenders, real estate agents, community members…. I could go on. This event helped strengthen our bonds with each other and the community, and I am excited to see how we can positively impact our housing market and our area in general.
Finally (and selfishly for RHR), this year’s recipient has been instrumental in making changes within our association with her positive attitude, outgoing spirit and hard work. From consolidating budget worksheets to connecting our association more closely with our affiliates and partners, we are a better association today thanks to her.
I’m sure you could never guess this year’s recipient, so I’ll relieve the stress. This year, we are excited to recognize Anne Herring. Please come up to accept your award!

Matt paxton
Our very own Matt Paxton received the Public Service Award for being such a beacon in our community and to the real estate industry for decades. He has consistently been a great resource and point of contact for the Association. Matt was surprised by a plaque and other gifts by Program Committee Chair, Mary Beth Harris. Congratulations to Matt for his longstanding Public Service in our Community and beyond!
